Itinerary Image

  • Arrive at Siliguri (airport or railway station). Travel to Gangtok and check into your hotel.
  • Enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace. You might visit Phodong Monastery to see its beautiful paintings, or head to Tashiding Monastery, high on a hill and famous for its sacred relics and the colorful Bhumchu festival.
  • In the evening, walk through Lal Bazaar to shop for local crafts and try tasty street food. Return to the hotel for the night.

  • Today, head out on a tour around Gangtok. Visit Tsomgo Lake, a glacial lake that changes color with each season.
  • Drive up Nathu La Pass, one of the world’s highest motorable roads (over 14,000 ft), and which marks the border between India and China.
  • Next, visit Baba Mandir, a shrine dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, a soldier from the 1967 Sino-Indian war.
  • After the day’s sightseeing, return to the hotel and spend the night in Gangtok.

  • Check out of your hotel and travel to Lachen, a peaceful Himalayan village in North Sikkim. On the way, pass through Chungthang, known for the meeting of the Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu rivers.
  • After arriving in Lachen, check into your hotel and relax. Later, explore the town on your own — meet locals and learn about their culture and daily life. Return for a restful night.

  • Leave Lachen and travel to Lachung. On the way, visit Gurudongmar Lake, a breathtaking lake high up at about 17,800 ft.
  • Also stop at Bhim Nala Waterfalls, where water cascades down around 70 ft—an amazing sight.
  • Once in Lachung, check in to your hotel and stay overnight.

  • Check out and head back to Gangtok. En route, visit Yumthang Valley, also called Sikkim’s Valley of Flowers—a colorful floral paradise.
  • After taking in the valley’s beauty, continue to Gangtok, check into your hotel, and take time to relax. If you’d like, go out and visit Reshi Hot Spring, Pemayangtse Monastery, or Kabi Lungchok before ending your day at the hotel.

  • Check out of your hotel and travel to Darjeeling. After check-in, enjoy the rest of your day exploring at your leisure.
  • You can visit Nightingale Park (known for its greenery), St. Andrew’s Church (a charming colonial-era building), or the Mahakal Mandir, a sacred site.
  • For a great view of the town, walk up to Observatory Hill. Then head back to your hotel to unwind.

  • Today’s highlights start with Tiger Hill, where you can enjoy a sunrise view of Mount Kanchenjunga—it’s absolutely stunning.
  • Visit the peaceful Peace Pagoda, the scenic Batasia Loop (a hill railway loop), and the Ghoom Monastery.
  • Explore further at the Tibetan Refugee Centre and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute to learn more about the local culture and mountaineering history.
  • Make sure to also see the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, home to rare animals. After your tour, return to your hotel.
