  • 8:00 AM–9:00 AM – We’ll begin our Sundarban tour from Kolkata in an AC vehicle. First pickup is at “Indian Museum Gate” (opposite Park Street Metro Station), and the second is at “Science City.”
  • After that, we’ll drive for about three hours and reach Gadkhali, which is the gateway to the Sundarbans. Breakfast will be served on the way.

  • 8:00 AM – Morning begins with the Dhaka (Delta) Safari by houseboat through the mangrove forest.
  • 8:30 AM – We’ll get permission from the forest office (which is opposite where you stay) and head into the jungle. This is your chance to explore one of the largest mangrove areas in the world, full of plants and wildlife.
  • During the cruise, we’ll visit three watch-towers: Sajnekhali, Sudhanyakhali, and Dobanki.
  • We’ll travel through small channels and creeks — names like Pir-Khali, Gazi-Khali, Banabibi-Varani, Sundar-Khali, and Chora-Gazi-Khal.
  • Keep your eyes open: you might see spotted deer, wild boar, civet cats, monitor lizards, crocodiles, even dolphins … and if luck favors, the Royal Bengal Tiger.
